On Tuesday, May 1st, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a massive recall for popular kitchen gadgets. According to the CPSC, roughly 19,000 veggie slicers were recalled over a laceration hazard.
Multiple consumers have reported that the small blades in the julienne slicer attachment can detach, posing a major risk to the user.
The veggie slicers were sold at a variety of retail locations nationwide including HomeGoods, HomeSense, Kohl’s, Macy’s Backstage, Marshall’s, Ross, Target, TJ Maxx and other local outlets. Those affected by the recall were sold between May 2017 and April 2018.
