When life takes an unexpected turn for the worse, it’s beneficial to keep a positive perspective about what’s important in life. When you’re handed lemons, it’s not easy to turn them into lemonade, but with some help from music therapy, one man did just that. At the age of 55 John Woloski suffered a massive stroke that landed him in a rehabilitation center. He was working as a school principal and Lions Club President in Pennsylvania, a dream job that he loved.
Unfortunately, when John suffered his stroke, his entire world turned upside down. He had to undergo rehabilitation therapy at Allied Services Heinz Rehab Hospital in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. But, what John does at the rehab hospital not only helps him regain movement and balance, but brings a smile to his face as well. John says he was inspired by a former music student of his, a 14-year-old named Lizzie.
