Weddings certainly have a powerful effect on people. Even the sternest people can break out a tear or two during someone’s special day. Anything can set you off, from seeing the bride walk down the aisle, the first dance, special vows, a great speech or, in this case, a father-daughter dance with a surprise twist.
One father was in for a truly nostalgic surprise that made him burst into tears during the father-daughter dance. As if giving away his daughter wasn’t emotional enough, his daughter had one more surprise up her sleeve as a newlywed. As the two made their way to the dancefloor, their special song started playing, but somewhere in the middle, a secret was waiting for the bride’s dad.
All of a sudden, the music suddenly faded and a somewhat familiar voice appeared over the speakers. The music and lyrics changed to a song that her father hadn’t heard for years, but when he realised what it was, he broke down into tears.
The bride had managed to find a home-video from when she was 3-years-old. She decided to play the audio over the music where she’s singing to her dad as a baby. The song in question is the one made famous from Barney, “I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family”.
Her father upon realising the voice was his infant daughter, burst into tears in her arms. Now all grown up and newlywed, it was the ultimate reminder of how she’ll always be his little girl.
