Keep Pests At Bay
It’s a well-known fact that creepy crawly pests like slugs and snails hate salt! By sprinkling a thin layer around your plants, you’ll ensure that these pests won’t be able to wreak havoc.
If you want to go all-out and keep flying bugs away from your plants too, try mixing two tablespoons of epsom salt and one gallon of warm water together in a spray bottle!
Veggies Will Be Enormous
We’ve already discussed how great epsom salt is for plants and flowers, but it’s great for your vegetable garden as well. The magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) helps your vegetable plants absorb more nutrients and sunlight, and in turn, grow a larger and tastier yield.
Fruits Will Be As Sweet As Can Be
The same idea applies to any fruit in your garden! Strawberries will be sweeter, grapes will be better, and you’ll be in heaven with all of the delicious fruit in your home.
A Natural Solution To Nature’s Defenses
Not only is epsom salt great for keeping your garden fresh, bright and healthy, but it’s also effective at relieving some of nature’s most uncomfortable defense mechanisms. Anything from bee stings, to sunburns, to poison ivy – epsom salts helps with all of it!
For instant relief, soak a washcloth in a mixture of one cup of water and two tablespoons of dissolved epsom salt. Dab the washcloth over the area and repeat until you feel better!
