Baking Soda, Sugar And Flour To Get Rid Of Mice

908

With winter almost entirely upon us, everyone is looking for a cozy and warm place to stay. This naturally includes us humans who prefer to stay indoors more and more, but along with us, there are a lot of other creatures who no longer prefer the great outdoors. One of these animals being mice.

Although mice don’t mind the cooler temperatures and snow and rain and all the fun stuff that comes with fall/winter, they definitely don’t mind staying warm and dry like everyone else. This reason is precisely why you may see a lot of mice housing in peoples’ homes.

But let’s come to terms with, having mice house in your home is never fun. They’re a type of pests that can be pesky around the house and have a nasty habit of going through jars of food and your personal belongings. I’ll be honest and say that the sight of a rat/mouse makes me scream so I would do anything to get rid of them if they ever showed up in my home.

I know people in the past have tried mouse traps and store-bought poisons to get rid of these pests. But sometimes these things don’t work. You can even try a big heap of cheese on the trap, but they’ll somehow evade the trap and take the cheese! So are you wondering how you can make your mouse poison at home? If so, you’re in the right place!

There are a few ingredients that you can mix and make a non-toxic poison. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • flour
  • sugar
  • baking soda

That’s it! The flour and sugar will help attract the rats whereas the baking soda will prove fatal. All you need to do is make this mixture and place it where rats visit often. You’ll notice the results almost immediately!
