Many of those who have always wanted to adopt a dog, look for puppies or adolescents are full of energy. Meanwhile, the best years of adult dogs have come to an end and they are left languishing in shelters while their happy friends find themselves families.
However, this does not always have to be true. And this is proved by the story of a 14-year-old miniature poodle, whose previous owners moved and could not take it away. It was left in the Animal Rescue League in Iowa last November, where no one even looked at it for the next four months. Then, on March 23, it finally happened.
