Meet Mosha, a beautiful elephant about whom the video below is based on. This poor girl was just two years old when she fell victim to an unfortunate accident. The landmine injury that happened along the Thai-Burmese border caused her to lose a leg. But all was not lost. An orthopedic surgeon called Dr. Therdchair Jivacate came into her life and decided to help her out. Dr. Jivacate has been working with the world’s first elephant hospital in Thailand in hopes of helping out injured elephants like Mosha.
Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Jivacate and his team, Mosha is now living a new life. They managed to fit her with the first prosthetic leg ever designed for an elephant. As Mosha grew up, she needed to be fitted for prosthetic legs time and again.
It has already been 15 years since Dr. Jivacate first did the life-changing operation on her foot, but Mosha still remembers him. And I am sure she is going to remember him for the rest of her life.
