We all know that animals can be very, very smart and this video of a momma elephant proves just that.
The leader of the pack first runs out of the jungle and into the middle of the road and frantically chases a cyclist before pacing up and down. With a number of cars approaching in the distance it’s not yet apparent what the elephant is actually doing.
Then suddenly, her children appear from the bushes and it’s that moment that you realise what she is actually doing. She seems to be stopping the approaching traffic in order to make it safe for her family to cross the road.
