She Layers Pie Crusts And Cuts Into Strips – Her Next Step Has Me Running For The Kitchen

What an easy twist on a classic favorite! She was craving apple pie but had a limited time-frame, so she made up this scrumptious dessert that is equally delicious. It’s a modern twist on the classic apple pie. But the goodness doesn’t stop there because it is finger-food friendly, which means it is also family-friendly, and altogether mess-free. With only a few ingredients, she makes her amazing apple pie fries. The process is simple as she pulses one can of apple pie filling, and then spreads it over a ready-made Pillsbury pie crust.

With a typical pie, she would practically still be getting out all of her ingredients, but this time-saving dessert takes only 25-30 minutes from start to finish. So, she’s already almost done now that she completed her pie crust and filling. All that is left is the fun part. She takes out her pizza cutter and begins slicing her fries. There is no right or wrong way to do this, so whether they are thick or thin is completely by preference. She cuts hers into long pieces one way, and spins it around making four sections the other way.

She already has prepared a pan with wax paper so that they don’t stick, and places each little section carefully on the pan. She sprinkles a topping made up of 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg. Once they are baked for 15 to 20 minutes, they are finished and ready to be enjoyed. They may not look like an apple pie, but these sneaky little fries smell and taste just like it.
