These Peep cookie bars will please everyone on Easter! With yellow cake mix, sprinkles, a packet of peeps and a few other common cooking ingredients, you can make a dessert everyone will remember!
First you’ll need to preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Then whip 1/2 cup of softened, unsalted butter in a large bowl with a kitchen mixer for 30 seconds. Once the butter is nice and fluffy, add in 4 egg yolks and 1 whole egg and beat until it’s thoroughly mixed as well. Now you’ll need to add the yellow cake mix, and as soon as the batter is thick, you can stir in the 1/4 cup of sprinkles by hand.
Spread the cookie dough in a square pan and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the side are golden brown! Spread on a warm fudge or icing layer – you’ll need to layer on the peeps while the fudge or icing is still hot so the toppings will stay in place when everything cools! Lastly, place the pan in the fridge for 30-45 to help everything set! Now you’re ready to cut and serve!
