Firefighter Mike Thawley rescued a Pit Bull puppy and went to check on her at the local animal shelter and their reunion couldn’t be any sweeter. Mike is with Fire Station 14 in Sacramento, California. He found the sick puppy tied up in the rain and saved her. After getting her cleaned up, he brought her to the Front Street Animal Shelter for medical attention and care. The next day he came to visit her and as you can see from the video below, she is very grateful.
Named Chunkie, the little pup instantly recognizes her rescuer and wags her tail and wants to be petted by Mike. Mike picks Chunkie up in his arms and puts an adorable pink sweater on her while she recovers from mange.
And when he walks away from her, she wants to follow after him.
It seems Mike may not be done helping out his newfound friend. He is going to talk to his family about fostering Chunkie.
I hope he can, as it’s obvious Chunkie is smitten with him!
This video is definitely worth watching and then watching it over and over. It will take just a few minutes and you won’t regret the time spent on it.
