These kids have voices like angels! Felt that in my soul! This brought a tear to my eye and it was beautiful! Thank you public school music teacher, whoever you are!

Leonard Cohen wrote “Hallelujah” in 1984. The song wasn’t very popular at first, but slowly it gained popularity. When Jeff Buckley released his cover, it got even more famous. It has been covered by many people over time. Artists including Bob Dylan, John Cale, and Willie Nelson have already done fabulous covers. However, this version given below is unlike anything you might have heard before!

This incredible rendition was sung by a group of little kids. These children are from the PS22 Chorus and they sing the song with so much passion. The solo performance is given by a fourth grader named Elisha. He does a magnificent job in this. When you hear this, you won’t be able to stop your smile!

The adorable children of the PS22 Chorus do not come from a “school for the arts,” but when you hear their angelic voices and their sweeping harmonies, you’ll easily understand that everyone is capable of art!

These talented fifth graders are all part of the ever-changing class of children from a public elementary school in New York. These are all “ordinary” kids who show that anyone can perform some pretty amazing things. These kids have sang alongside some amazing artists over the years, including Lady Gaga and Carrie Underwood!

While their previous songs have all been an impressive showing of pure talent, in the video below they show off how truly amazing they really are. With little Elisha, a fourth grader, singing some beautiful solos, these kids perfectly sing a stunning rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah.”

Even though this song has been performed by countless artists over the years ranging from Bob Dylan to Jeff Buckley, these kids might just be singing one of the best versions of this song that we’ve ever heard. When the beautiful harmonies intertwine with each other during this heartfelt performance? It’s no wonder why so many people are getting chills just from watching. Make sure to like the PS22 Facebook page if you think these kids deserve to be supported!
