Horses are one of the most beautiful creatures in the world. Known everywhere for their strength, they are one of the smartest species around. They are also very gentle and calm creatures. Featured below is a story that is going to make you like horses even more. A wild stallion called Champ and his family of horses were grazing along the bank of the Salt River in Arizona’s Tonto National Forest. A few minutes later, another group of wild horses arrived at the opposite bank of the river.

The former group got interested because of the new arrivals, so some of them started to cross the river. Amongst them was a little filly. The baby was as fascinated by her new neighbors as her older counterparts.

She started crossing too, but sadly for her, a strong current swept her away. It forced the young filly to break from the group and be dragged downstream. She even went under for a few dreadful seconds.

But Champ left his group and went after her without wasting any time. His quick thinking saved the filly’s life. The stallion gently escorted her back to the band and he didn’t let her go until he knew she was safe and sound. What a hero! Check out the full story below! What did you think about that?
