When Oakley the juvenile Great Horned Owl was rescued after a tornado hit Kansas several years ago no one expected he would become a Halloween legend.
He was brought into Eagle Valley Raptor Center because he was too young to hunt for himself. Feeding him was easy but providing company was a challenge since there was no other owls his age at the sanctuary at the time. Oakley’s caretaker came to an idea to pair him with a singing toy owl and wouldn’t you know it, the orphaned baby accepted it as a best friend. However, it’s his reaction after hearing his plush friend sing “Monster Mash” that turned this video into a Halloween must-see.
