After being injured in an earthquake, Billie Buzz decided to move to an island and make the most out of her life. While there, she started a hip hop dance class for seniors, and the class was a MASSIVE success. The 22 seniors in class, averaging 80-years-old, loved the class so much that they decided to take the show on the road.
After only 8 months and overcoming incredible obstacles, the group performed at the World Hip-Hop Championships! The crew now holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the oldest dance group in the world. Watch the video to see the incredible crew!
Meet some truly inspirational women, Billie Jordan founded the Hip Hop Operation based on Waiheke Island in 2012. The Mega Crew hip hop dance troupe consists of 22 senior citizens aged 68 to 95 years old.
