One of the best parts about Christmas-time is the music. There’s something very special about songs we only get to enjoy for a few weeks a year.

While there is one song in particular that is heard year-round, it carried an extra special significance this time of year. During the Christmas season when people are rejoicing in the birth of our Savior and praising the Lord, one song comes to mind.

But it isn’t necessarily considered a holiday song – more of a secular hymn that has enraptured millions of people around the world. Written by the incredible Canadian singer Leonard Cohen, the classic “Hallelujah” was penned in 1984 and has been sung by hundreds of artists, used in numerous films and shows, and even performed in various languages.

But it was one particular performance by three children that stunned an audience. Patrizia, 12, Simon, 12, and Helen, 11, appeared on Germany’s The Voice Kids show.

They opted to perform this incredibly difficult yet immeasurably stirring song. The beauty of this song, coupled with their bold emotions, wowed the judges.
