Chills Run Down Everyone’s Spine With 1st Note From Young Boy Singing ‘Hallelujah’

120

When Riccardo picked “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen as his song for his blind audition on The Voice, he knew that he needed to do something to set himself apart. Thousands of artists have tried their hand at “Hallelujah” in the past, and he didn’t want the audition to blend into the versions before his. Thankfully, Riccardo’s voice sounds nothing like a nervous 13-year-old! The sound that pours from his mouth is that of a seasoned musician ready to take the world by storm. Now his audition is spreading across the Internet like wildfire – and once you hear him for yourself, you’ll understand what all of the fuss is about…

Even though “Hallelujah” was written by Cohen all the way back in 1984, it’s maintained popularity among people both young and old ever since. After its release, incredible artists like K.D. Lang, John Cale, and Jeff Buckley shared their unique covers. Even though nothing will ever compare to Cohen’s original version, each musician brings their personal flair to the song. The ability to change notes and use the lyrics to relate to his own struggles is precisely why Riccardo decided to sing it during his audition on The Voice Kids UK. He knew that it would take a lot of gusto and determination to impress the judges – and Riccardo was ready to make it happen!

The moment Riccardo started singing, all of the judges were shocked by the powerful voice that filled the theater. Within seconds, the judges began contemplating whether or not to flip their chairs around! Sure enough, by the time Riccardo’s song was finished, all three judges were vying for Riccardo to join their team.
