As an audience prepares to be entertained by a dance team’s performance, little do they know they’ll actually be learning a valuable lesson.
One of the greatest parts about a high school sporting event (besides the actual game) is the half-time performance. Whether it’s the marching band, cheerleaders, or the dance team – it’s amazing to watch the choreographed routines featuring extremely dedicated students. In the video, we are able to see one of these half-time shows, which is being put on by the Mahomet-Seymour High School dance team. Get ready, because it is memorable beyond belief!
The dancers stand in the middle of a basketball court as they are introduced to the audience. Then the music begins… Yet, instead of it being your typical pop song, it is actually a very thought-provoking track called, “What Are You Afraid Of” by Jon Jorgenson. The girls perform an interpretive dance to the spoken lyrics, which focus on the question, “What room does fear have?”
