Patsy Cline is no doubt one of the best vocalists I have had the chance to listen to ever. She left the world after a tragic plane crash that happened on the 5th of March on 1963. She was only 30 years old. However, her beautiful songs have passed the test of time. Patsy’s reputation actually rose to great new heights after her death. Even though she only recorded two number one songs in her career, her music has managed to touch many hearts and is enjoyed by millions to this day.
The video below features her last performance of her hit classic, “I Fall To Pieces”. This version was recorded on the 23rd of February on The Glenn Reeves Show. It was filmed just around 10 days before she died. The song is considered to be one of the saddest songs of all time. It is also known as one of Patsy’s best songs. The success of the song helped Cline secure an invitation to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The single also went on to top Billboard’s year-end survey of country hits.
