Feeling Good is one of the most famous and beloved songs on the planet. Written by English composers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical “The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd”, it was first performed on stage in 1964 by Cy Grant on the UK tour, and by Gilbert Price in 1965 with the original Broadway cast. Nina Simone went on to record the song for her album “I Put a Spell on You” that same year.
Over the years, the song has been covered by many, including the likes of Michael Bublé, John Coltrane, George Michael, and Muse. The video below features one of these covers. Dennis Morris is a shy guy, but he is incredibly talented when it comes to singing. And his friend decided that he needed to share this gift to the world.
So he asked Dennis to record his version of “Feeling Good” for the camera. You are going to get chills when you see the result.
Dennis always liked singing, but he had never sung in front of others before. This was his first time singing in front of a friend, with a camera on his face. It is obvious that he was nervous, but his nervousness doesn’t show at all in the video! His cover is fantastic on all accounts
