The following video shares one of the best covers of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence”. The song was performed by Disturbed on the Conan O’Brien show. Disturbed is an American alternative metal band from Chicago, Illinois. They have a lot of fans all over the world. In 2015, the group recorded a Simon & Garfunkel classic for their album, Immortalized. But little did they know about the impact it was going to have on the music community.

Their unique version not only earned them a lot of new fans, but their rendition was also appreciated by Paul Simon himself. Simon also shared a link of Disturbed’s performance on Conan, on his own Facebook page. He called it “wonderful”.

Both the performance and the official song have received incredible appreciation from fans and critics alike. Wait till you hear it out for yourself! You are going to be awestruck for sure too!

The frontman of the group, David Draiman, says that he and his band members couldn’t have hoped for a more positive outcome. He expressed that the song’s success was truly overwhelming and incredibly surreal, and was a very big shock too. He says he is glad Simon loves it.
